It has been three days since the wreck of the Dome ship Star Sword. I cannot say this with absolute certainty, but I believe I am the only survivor.

The Yeerks attacked us as we were preparing to land on Earth. Again, I cannot state with this absolute certainty, but I believe our worst fears have been confirmed: the Yeerks began their invasion of this planet before our arrival. Or, if they had not, it has begun.

I am making plans to leave my Dome and return to the planet's surface, and soon. Hopefully, I will have a more comprehensive report at that time.

So, I've sent out out a report to high command. Now I just have to figure out how I'm going to get out of here, and what I'll do once I reach the surface.

He...it's been three days. I keep calling out, but, he won't answer. Maybe he doesn't want to. Maybe. Maybe he's in hiding, like me. Maybe. He's made crazy escapes before, hasn't he? I mean, he's Elfangor.

He can't be gone. There's so much I never got to tell him.
